On 2 July 2025, François Alabrune, the French Ambassador to the Netherlands, welcomed Didier Samuel, Chairman and CEO of Inserm, to the French Residence in The Hague for a working visit focused on strengthening scientific collaboration in biomedical research.
During the visit, three significant agreements were signed to advance innovation in the medical field:
- A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Inserm and RegMed XB, paving the way for intensified collaboration in the field of regenerative medicine;
- The creation of a joint laboratory between Inserm’s "Physics for Medicine" research unit (U1273) and Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC);
- A new partnership between Inserm and the Hartwig Medical Foundation in Amsterdam.
These partnerships reflect the shared ambition of France and the Netherlands to develop innovative, sustainable solutions that serve patients and strengthen Europe's strategic autonomy in health.
We look forward to working together with our French partners and continuing to drive excellence in regenerative medicine.
