Liya Jose - Project Coordinator

As Project Coordinator at RegMed XB Flanders, Liya Elsa Jose plays a central role in keeping the organization's translational mission on track — working at the interface of scientific, quality, and operational teams to ensure that promising regenerative medicine research progresses smoothly and purposefully from the lab toward the patients who need it. Her ability to connect people, processes, and science in a practical and collaborative way makes her an invaluable part of the RegMed XB team.

Liya holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from KU Leuven and brings over a decade of hands-on experience in preclinical and early clinical research within regulated life-science environments. Her scientific background spans assay development, method transfer, and project support across both vaccine development and academic research settings. She has contributed to research published in high-impact journals including Neuron and Cell Reports — a testament to the rigour and depth she brings to everything she does. This strong scientific foundation allows her to engage meaningfully with research teams, bridge communication across disciplines, and support the kind of careful, evidence-based progress that translational research demands.

What drives Liya is the profound promise of regenerative medicine — not only to push the boundaries of science, but to restore hope, function, and quality of life for patients in ways that truly matter. She believes her favorite place is always wherever her family is.
