Public-Private Entrepreneurship

Building ecosystems through collaboration

  • The Netherlands excels in developing regenerative medicine, where the body's self-healing ability is stimulated. That is why government bodies support our mission to deliver affordable regenerative medicine solutions to patients while building a competitive and sustainable industry.

For example, the Subsidieregeling Regeneratief Geneeskundige Onderzoeksprojecten (SRGO) helps to enhance collaboration between science and SMEs. This subsidy scheme is funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and the Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Sport and will be executed by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).

Update on the Programme funding public private RegMed XB projects

A new round of funding has been opened. The amended SRGO (Subsidieregeling Regeneratief Geneeskundige Onderzoeksprojecten) has been announced in the Staatscourant on 21 November 2025. A total budget of EUR 10 million has been made available for innovative public-private projects in the field of regenerative medicine. The current tender will remain open until 17 February 2026 at 17:00.

Additionally, the regions of Brabant, Utrecht, South Holland, and Limburg are making significant investments in seed capital and infrastructure to support start-ups and production development.

Together, these initiatives are creating a world-class regenerative medicine ecosystem—accelerating our Moonshots and delivering tangible benefits to Dutch society and regional economies. All made possible by Public-Private Entrepreneurship Fund and Strategic public-private partnerships (PPPs), which provides project finance loans to stimulate collaborative ventures.
