Nico Stam - Chair Expert Council

Nico currently serves as independent Executive Strategy & Business Consultant Life Sciences, following his retirement as CEO of Acerta Pharma, an affiliate of AstraZeneca. In this role, he works as Strategy & Business Consultant, providing strategic advisory, business development, and growth support to life sciences companies and startups. He also serves on advisory boards of emerging biotechnology and healthcare ventures, supporting fundraising, partnerships, commercialization strategies, and corporate development. In addition, he advises life sciences organizations on innovation, market access, and business growth.

Prior to this, he served as Interim CEO at Cell2Tissue B.V., where he led the development of technologies in the fields of stem cell culture and tissue engineering. He also served as Deputy Director and Chief Business Officer at Brightlands Maastricht Health Campus BV.
