Floris Italianer

Floris Italianer has worked in the healthcare and non-profit sectors over the last 20 years. Next to his role in our Supervisory Board, he is serving as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Pathan Laboratories, a pathology laboratory supporting Dutch hospitals and primary care centers.

Previously, Italianer was the Managing Director of Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam Convergence (2022-2023), a collaborative initiative with TU Delft and Erasmus MC focused on addressing complex societal challenges. He also served as the CEO of the Dutch Heart Foundation from 2013 to 2022, advancing efforts against cardiovascular diseases, and was Chairman of the Dutch CardioVascular Alliance and the European Heart Network during pivotal years (2019-2022), fostering cooperation among organizations dedicated to heart health. His governance experience extends to roles such as board member for various organizations, including the World Heart Federation, where he contributed to global cardiovascular health initiatives, and as a board member for the Gezondheidsfondsen voor Rookvrij, advocating for a smoke-free generation. Italianer’s early career includes notable positions at Point of Vision Group and Accenture, where he shaped strategies in healthcare and media. Italianer holds an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management and has pursued various training programs in supervisory board roles and mediation. With a commitment to improving healthcare systems and championing public health initiatives, Floris Italianer combines his expertise in management with a passion for making a meaningful impact in society.
