Automation Entrepreneurs Receive Regional Subsidy
Dutch Startup Nestegg Biotech B.V. has been awarded the "Limburg Makers Innovation Project" subsidy to fund development of Obruza laboratory automation system. This subsidy is expected to accelerate the development of a modular, scalable, automation platform for regenerative medicine, immunoassay, and cell culture application. This will not only support Nestegg Biotech’s efforts, but will improve research across Europe by making it more scalable and reproducible.
Obruza is a novel automated system Nestegg Biotech has designed to provide “integrated automation” for laboratory management. Based in the Brightlands Maastrich Health Campus, in the southern Dutch province of Limburg, Nestegg Biotech expects to achieve preliminary sales within the fiscal year to customers within and around the campus.
“Limburg Makers” is an integral program of LIOF aimed at structurally strengthening the competitiveness of the Limburg manufacturing industry. Through a number of business opportunities, LIOF stimulates innovations and knowledge transfer at the business community in Limburg, in collaboration with knowledge institutes and campuses.
